What do you think of this piece so far?

It could be better. It's a little bland. There are some weird instances where you switch between past and present tense, but if you're writing this in diary format that's ok. Just elaborate more and use some interesting words. You need to draw in the reader and make them want to continue reading, which right now you're not.
