Meeting online guy for first time....drive to him?

ok iv been chatting to a guy i met online via phone/email,he has just text me out the blue tonight to ask if he can meet me next wk end,i said im free and id be up for it.However...he lives nearly 5 hours away from me,he suggested meeting in london which is just under an hours drive for him,or he could drive to me if needs be apparently. Should i arrange to meet him in london(tbh there will be more things to do up there) i am slightly daunted about finding my way around and where im going to stay as iv never been before. I could arrange to stay with some people i know up there but its too short notice to spring that on them and id need a few more weeks to plan. what should i do,should i delay or would that look like im stalling?
