Those of you who've tried online dating - what are your thoughts?

Well, I tried (succesfuly) but I can't say if it's good or not. It depends on what are you looking for and on which site. Of course, luck is important. I joined this video gamer dating website just for fun, because I love video games and such things, and I found my current gf there. It was more luck then wish to find something there, but it's great now. To conclude: it's ok, but avoid it if you can easily find someone in real life, dan of course if you join dating site, be very careful.
