How to write childrens books?

I have a lot of themes and ideas for writing childrens books, preferably for pre-k age children. I'm just having trouble getting started, any ideas would be great. My daughter just turned 5 and we usually make up stories and tales that seem to keep her and her classmates entertained, but putting it on paper seems to be a daunting task.
